i got a 85 2.3 with 4:10s in the rear on the highway going 70 its pounding 35-3700 rpm looking for a good size tire/rim to drop down to around 25/2700 in south dakota its 75 that will be around 37/3800 rpm and im trying to get decent millage for my 1900 mile trip

I doubt just by changing tire size that you will go down to where you want. Might need a gearing change. I think my 94 is 3.73 and I am considering dropping that 1 step. the 3.73 was good 15 or so years ago when the top speed on hwys were 55 or so. Now that speeds are up to 70-75 or 80 my engine is screaming. It has more than enough torque to start most of the time in 2nd gear, and easily in 1st gear.

i got p235 60r14 and a 2 inch lift in the back i know just tire size wont do much but i was thinking 2 sizes or more in rims might help
