2.3 trans help

I bought a truck no motor or trans so I bought them from two separate salvage yards now I cant get them to bolt together as if its the wrong trans hopefully one of you can identify this thing .

truck is 95 b2300 bought a 95 motor from ranger, head seems so stick off the back and interfere with them bolting together.

That trans is a v6 trans. the starter is on the wrong side. that will never bolt up to a 4cyl

Yeah thats way off... i dont have any pictures of my trans but the starter is on the passenger side and the top is flat with two bolt holes.. if you have a ford specific salvage yard near you go there and ask them itll probably cost like 4 or 500

1988 and up Ranger/Mazda 2.3l(4cyl) had the Mazda M50D-R1 if it was a manual trans.

The trans out of a 98-01 with the 2.5 will also bolt up to a 2.3. I can't guarantee the hydraulic system is the same, but the trans will bolt up.
