2.3 to 5.0

Hey guys, I've been talking with my dad for a couple years now about swapping out my slow 2.3 5-speed for the 5.0 out of an explorer. I was looking to use a T5 as well to keep it a manual. Is there anyone on the forums who has done a swap from a 2.3? The ranger's a 97 too, if that helps any.

Welcome to the fun. It's been done and out there. Check the build threads as I remember seeing some in there when I was researching ish.
It's probably best to look for a complete doner expo and take the rear end out as well. Ull need the wire harness for sure.
