My Transmission on my Taurus is bad and I thought about using the 3.0 in the Ranger. IS this even worth it?

yes it can be done...but you need the tranny the timing cover from the 3.0 ranger as well as different head gaskets and manifolds from a ranger 3.0....if i were you i would just do a 4.0 swap or keep the 4 banger that you have
