hello im about to purchase a 2000 2.3 for my 93.
so my question is what all do i have to change if possible to make this work it comes with new computer please help i only have a short period to but it and ive been searching for months to get one i can afford single dad

OK, I'm confused...

your profile on the left says 91 2.3, now you say a 93 2.3, and you are installing a 2000 2.3 in the 93, correct ?

I have the engine wiring diagram for a 2.3 MAP based.. (your 2000 is NOT going to be EEC-IV, this might be a very big problem to convert).

That would be correct. To convert to the 2000, you are going to have to keep the 2000 wiring harness, as well as the ECU and assorted sensors. The reason why is that the 2000 has a 104-pin computer, while your 93 has a 60-pin computer.

I thought the 2.3 became a 2.5 in 1999?

Same basic engine but not all the same...apparently even the motor mounts are different, but the transmission bolt pattern is the same...
