2.3 swap?

yet another engine swap question, so i have a 87 2.3 5 speed(4 with overdrive) fuel injected 2wd ranger, i would like to do a turbo engine swap but i'm complete lost on which engine would be best to swap, well easier to do. i would love to do a v8 swap but i just dont have that much time nowadays. please if someone can point me to the right direction, i try to some research but i'm still bit lost. thanks in advance.

Buy a turbo T-bird. Set it alonside your truck. Start swapping parts. Eventually, you will have swapped enough for the truck to run.
You'll need the intake and exhaust systems, and the computer and likely a bunch of the wire loom. The 87 likely has a MAP to control fuel flow, the Bird has a MAP that is vented to atmosphere, and then uses the intake pressure to regulate fuel. FWIW.

Dont have that much time? lol a v8 swap is probably easier than a turbo swap, in all honesty.

But yeah, as stated, the *best* option is to get a turbocoupe Tbird from 87-88, or a Mustang SVO from 86 as a donor car for all the parts.

Try looking for turbo 2.3s in the build section, or go scan through the forced induction forum for info on the matter.

Thanks guys, I would love to do a v8 swap but it seems I'm going to need more things to do and buy, and since the wife and I just had our first baby she would kill me if I spend to much time working on my truck lol

why don't you just put a turbo on your stock engine?
