2.3 starter question

1997 2.3l 5-speed no A/C. Am having intermittent electrical problems so I decided to clean all the connections I could find. Took off the large wire to the starter and the strap, cleaned, then couldn't remember how they went back. I read the Haynes manual and that says to make sure to mark the leads before removal, blah. I put it back the way I thought it should and now it still starts but the battery light is on. Can someone please take a look at theirs and let me know which lug the positive wire goes to and if the strap is on that lug or the other. There is a red plastic cap on the terminals. Thank you.
