2.3 rough when warm

Been having an issue with rough idle and stumbling.More profound after engine starts to warm up.Just changed all the plugs and wires (looked like they had never been changed),and it's good I did,as they were horrible.
Thought that would be the culprit,but strangly the problem seems worse-maybe coincidence.
Anyway,once rolling/accelerating,engine is smooth.Check engine light comes on sometimes due to rough-low idle at a stoplight/sign,then will clear once rolling again and increase RPM's.Have a stumble at times too while cruising.

Any clues or suggestions?

I'm not sure if yours has a distributor or a coil pack, but that's usually a symptom of a coil pack breaking down

the code you pull from the computer would be a great clue. start there and report back =]

mine did this... it was the coil pack... I threw every part at it imaginable and wasted some time/money.... the codes didnt really help me in this case for whatever reason... I would start with the coil pack... if it doesnt fix it just return it to the store and put your old one back in and then go back to the drawing board

Sorry.........it's a 1990 w/2 coil packs.One coil pack breaking down would do this?

yep, replace those and you should be fine
