2.3 ranger wont start

i was out playing around in mud and hills my truck shut off after a big bump and once i noticed my batt was moved im thinking the batt hit the hood and fired the pcm. now it wont start it geting spark and fuel. any one know?

did you check the inertia switch on the passenger side floor under the carpet, you may have tripped it hitting that bump and it will turn the fuel pump off. I dont know if it would disable the spark-you might have a loose wire on the coil pack. or you could have shorted the battery plates when it was bouncing around.

Ive bounced alot fo batteries around and never had that problem. Do you have a pic of your underhood setup?> the more the detail the better. what does it do when you try to start it, what sounds.

Also process of elimination, figure out which parts are working and eliminate them as part of the problem. by diggin through a narrower field it will be alot easier.

well i figured out the fuel pump isnt coming on. i took the plug and put the test light on it no wire have power. the switch under the dash was never frigged tho. i changed the fuel pl\ump relay. when i turn it over its normal just dosnt fire

did you check the ecu fuse?

Earlier you said it was getting fuel that it wasnt the fuel inertia switch. Now you say no fuel and no power to the pump. Go check the friggin inertia switch again. If its not gettin spark then check your coils. make sure nothing got pulled loose.

Earlier you said it was getting fuel that it wasnt the fuel inertia switch. Now you say no fuel and no power to the pump. Go check the friggin inertia switch again. If its not gettin spark then check your coils. make sure nothing got pulled loose.

I forgot your in belleview, call C&K quality in Dunnellon. He ran the 2.3l for many years and knows just about everything that could possible be wrong. and they know ford better than the ford designers.

i thought it was getting fuel bu its not. its getting spark. the switch is not trigged could the switch be bad?

nah timing belts fine. truck is not getting power to fuel pump there nothing when key tirns on. the switch is not trigged. i got a new relay and a new fuse and still nothing!
