2.3 help

hello all, im trying to figure out if anyone has attempted a 2011 2.3 motor swap into an 87 ranger? im trying to get my truck back on the road and trying to find a reman 2.3 is slim pickings. overhauling is an option, but found a 2011 2.3 with low miles at a good price. im not trying to get crazy trying to make it fit, i know if i really wanted to alot could be made to fit. again im looking to get out of this at a reasonable cost. any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

For starters, the 2011 2.3L is a completely different engine than those built in 1987. Mid-2001 is when Ford decided to switch from the 2.3/2.5 Lima built engine to the newer Duratech 2.3. I believe the motor mounts will be different for this swap, plus all the added electronics that will need to go with it.
