i am putting together a warmed over lo-med performance 2.55L stroker (2.5 crank/rods 040 over pistons, 93 2.3 block) now to head choice. My goal is 140hp from 155ci which seems doable but anyway I now have 3 (1986.1993&1998) heads to choose from.My hp goal is trumped by ease of swap so unless ALL the 1986 fi stuff will bolt onto one of the 8 plug heads and it will go in with NO problems otherwise I will use the 1986 with a 3 angle vale job and some planing to raise compression.

Not sure about the fitment but I would think the newer head would be the best. I am sure ford did not go backwards in there tec. department.

the newer heads have higher compression, but the intake manifold you need to use with them get in the way of using a distributor if you were going that way...
