I have an 83 ford ranger 4x4 that belonged to my father. We put a new body on it together and I have a lot of memories with my father in that truck. Now my question. The truck has a 2.3 four banger which always had more than enough power to turn the wheels. It had a cracked head on it and we replaced it. Since then it hasn't run right and is very very weak. It doesn't want to even move. It has to be put in low range to move. I was thinking that it may have been the head since it started after we put it on but the truck is holding good compression and I just don't know where to start with it. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Double check timing belt, off by one tooth can have large power loss
