2.3 elhousing pattern

Is there any other engine with the same belhousing pattern as the 2.3? Tried searching without any luck, could only find answers for the V6's.

Depends on what you are trying to do... not really that many options as the only engines with this pattern are the 2.0L/2.3L/2.5L Lima, there were a handful of transmissions mated to them like the A4LD for auto (I think some used a C3?), before '88 I think the manual option was a TK but I could be wrong, in the Mustangs and Thunderbird they used the T5, and every manual after '88 in the Ranger was a M5OD-R1 (with a Lima specific housing)

There are adapters to mate these engines to a VW bus transmission commonly used in sandrails.

I was thinking of using a toyota trans and t-case, but like the idea of using one of these engines in a sand rail.
