2.3 and T18?

I have a transmition question. I'm thinking about puting a 2.3 in the Willys, but I need a good granny gear tranny. I've read on Mustang boards that the 5.0 and 2.3 T5s are interchangeable WITHOUT an adapter exept for the strength. If that is true, the T18 that came with a 302 SHOULD fit a 2.3. Has anybody done this? Thanks.

no....your getting that wrong.

certain transmissions have removable bells, and are easily adapted.


i dont know if anyone makes an adapter you could use to do this, seems a jeep setup could be close to start though.







i suggest going to novak adapters as they seem to be the tops for this application.
