2.0 to 2.3 Tracker swap

Has anyone done this conversion before? My daughter has a 00 Chevy Tracker, which is essentially a Suzuki Vitara. Needless to say it's a POS engine. Many ppl put 4.3 Chevy v-6 but I was thinking, since I bleed Ford Blue, how about a 2.3 eng, trans, and xfer case out of a Ranger...seems simple enough...any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure someone (a member) on here did that a few years ago...in fact, I think it was someone who posts in this forum quite often (until recently, anyway).

If I could think of the user name I'd be glad to post it...but try the search engine...I will give it a whirl myself because now I'm curious...
