I gotta 01 4x4 , the front diff needs some attention, seals. Is that a beast of a job? Doesn't look like there is much room at all to remove the cover. Any help is appreciated. I am a diesel refrigeration tech with mechanical know how and a good set of tools. So I should beable to handle it, just wondering if there is anything to look out for and any tips would be nice. Thanks guys.

To remove the cover you have to drop the diff out of the truck. Not too bad to do, take probably about an hour to get it out of there. You have to remove the CV shafts and everything to get it out. Once its on the bench its a breeze to put new seals into.

thanks, I'll take a look at it right now and see what I need to do to drop the diff.
