Surprised nobody mentioned... if the dad greets you with a bat, club, shotgun, etc....
Try not to wet yourself. It's just the normal thing for a dad to want to be protective of his daughter. I actually had a dad take me aside once after several dates with his daughter and admit to me that he was the sort of dad that had always intended to be sitting there cleaning his gun when his daughter brought a guy home. His daughter knew this and didn't give him enough time to do that when I came the first time and he admitted that after meeting me for the first time, he realized two things...
1) I was a gentleman and didn't really need to be threatened like that.
2) I wouldn't have been scared either. I'm the kinda person that would have plopped down on the couch next to him and asked when we could go shooting.... lol.
