One rose would be better than a bunch of them. I also am not too keen on giving a rose to her while you are on the date.

I usually leave a rose for a surprise sometime when I'm not there with her. That way she can see it, read the note (if you decide to leave one), and think of you for that moment. It goes a long way with those small thoughts.

I strive to be romantic when I'm not with her. If you show to be that way when you are not around the girl... it REALLY shows that you care!!

Trail riding on the first date may not be the best idea. She might get the thought that he is just trying to get in her pants.

Then again.. he should know the girl well enough to know if she'd think that about him yet.

now i'm not trying to brag here but i can help you out..

1. clean up the truck. noone wants to be in a dirty ass whip, and pick music that's fun. nothing that's too loud, or too mushy. pretty much anything that's not slipknot or Gloria Gaynor.

2. pickin her up at 7:00?? be there at 6:55

i don't know this c-restaraunt you're going to, but depending on if you've been there before, and depending on the cost/dress code, you might get away with a nice (preferabely dark, look more expensive, last longer) pair of jeans and a polo. i am def not a khaki man, but it's totally your call dude.

3. meet her parents straight off the bat (if they're there obviously)

SHAKE THEIR HANDS!! shake fathers' hand firmly with your whole hand, whereas the mothers should be more dainty with fingers, not palm.

4. open all doors, pay for all (a common first date thing) and when leaving the house, wave goodbye firmly, but not like a hardass. "wow, he's a nice boy.."

5. TALK TALK TALK. do not stop talking to her, and making her giggle. THIS IS ESSENTIAL!! ask her about anything... take school for example. where does she go, what sports does she play, whats her favorite class, which teacher is the ugliest, are her friends funny in her favorite class... etc..

6. a rose is unnecessary, but a nice touch.. more of a second date thing.

7. do not touch her hair, or make her feel uncomfortable.. you're not gonna kiss her; sorry to burst your bubble. that would make you seem like a pig; trust me. holding hands is the farthest i would go on a first date.

however, hugs are perfectly acceptable. not to sound gay.

8. tell her you'll call her tomorrow. be assertive, yet not a dick. walk her to her door, and THANK HER for the fun time you had tonight... THAT"S the most important part of the night..

you'll be fine; it's cake. the first few minutes, you'll be so nervous since it's your first date, you reall ylike her etc... but after the breadsticks come and you get her to smile once and you get that feeling, you'll be a changed man for life...

I agree completely with the above posting by 88ranger and insanejughead. Just be yourself like you would around adults, not around the guys! And dont worry we all get nervous, whether it be the first date or the date you pop the big question, its always a different experience, so remember what she has to say! And keep in mind that some things are their for learning, so dont be obsessive.

I'd have to agree with 88ranger on this man, just stay relaxed and above all let her make the first move when it comes to anything more then a hug...if you do that you wont seem like a creeper and it will make her feel 10000% more comfortable. Just be a gentleman all around, and ask her lots of questions about herself, but don't interrogate the poor girl.

AND SMILE!!! For the love of God smile it will make her feel way more at ease if she thinks you are at ease.

BRING HER HOME ON TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you want to look good for her parents (which is very important for long run) then you want to bring her home about 2-3 minutes early, it is very critical that the timing is 1 0r 2 minutes before the required time, if you bring her home 10 minutes early then she might think that you have something else in mind.....also, dont expect any tongue on the first date.....wait till the second

i agree with most of what was said before. carrabas is a good choice, mite want to leave some open time before you go to dinner to sit down at her parents house to say HI and establish yourself as a good guy who can be trusted. her parents have ATLEAST HALF the decision as to if there is a 2nd date so dont mess that part up. she needs to recognize you are trustworthy and wont that mislead her in anyway shape or form. make shure you both have equal talking time but minimal silent time. if you have done most of the talking think of a topic that will get her to voice her opinions and share some of her feelings even if the topic is unimportant to you because she needs to know she can discuss anything with you regardless of if its important to you or not(examples, cloths, girly tv shows, her work, her siblings, her family). o yea, even if her father or mother awnsers the door drunk without there drawers you NEED to make shure you DONT say anything negative about them even if she does. be truthful without making yourself look crazy(example, if she asks about your truck dont tell her you almost fliped it on a trail last weekend). best of luck bud, wish i had a date soon too!

make shure you speak appear as properly as possible! your car isent a "whip" or "my ride" her father and mother are MR and MRS, foul language is looked down opon, cover up any tattoos if possible, earings, gang related ANYTHING, wear your pants at or near your waist, tie your shoes, dont smell like an ashtray or a locker room.

How old are you two? 16 17? Jeesh, clean pair of Blue jeans and a nice shirt, be your self as you are. Carrabbas is a nice place to eat, get the Veal. You already know this girl and her likes, after 2 years you should at least. If she wanting to put out on the first date RUN as fast as you can, don't touch it, she probably puts out on every date and you will most likely catch something, besides at a young age, why risk having to raise a baby? Just enjoy being with her, and if you don't enjoy being around her it is meant not to be.
