Any body still play? I use to all the time back a few years. Well I got it working a few nights ago. Have fount a few downloads for it but now much. I rember I had like 2 folders of just add ons for this game back when. So were is ever one getting there add ones at?

I got it from my roomate in college, lost it on a computer crash. Downloaded it off of the internet somewhere, lost it in another computer crash. I just had the itch to play it again last week.

I had a version of my Ranger I made out of the Bronco, then someone on insaneheat posted a first generation Ranger and I made it match the colors of mine.

Great game. :icon_thumby:

It is only lame if you don't like a game where you can modify the vehicle in any way you want or create your own, and then make your own maps and do whatever you like with your vehicle. E-lockers were standard issue, and required after wheels starting coming off. There were different kinds of races you could do either against the computer or against people on a network. I was in college 03-04, and it had a couple years on it then.

fyi, many moons ago, i was given a 1st gen ex-cab ranger 3d model, i wonder if it was from 1nsane or 4x4evo, i stuck it in GTA4 :) its evolved alot since i got it, including a complete bed/interior with a crudely modled 200 I6 i made :P

Love that game. To date, it is actually STILL the single most realistic and entertaining off-road game. It's the only one that actually has good physics between the truck and the ground. Even 4x4 Evo 2, which came out afterwards and had way more sales did not come close. I'm almost certain the game is now legal to download for free, the license must have run out already. Either way, I have the legit CD around here somewhere.

Sounds like I need to try it out and find a 1st gen for the game!

It wasn't offered here in the US much, I suppose because certain vehicles looked like actual vehicles and they were worried about copyrights. The Bronco was my favorite until the first generation Ranger came out.

My roomate got his copy on his senior trip in Europe (I don't remember where exactly)

With me I would just run it in free mode and beat the snot out of things seeing what I could do. There was a city map where you could go up a series of ramps (kinda tough) and jump it off a sky scraper... just to see how they would take it. If real cars were that tough the world would be a much better place, but they still showed damage very nice. If you get bored and are able to find a copy, I highly recommend it.

Im not much into video games but that sounds like a game for me!!! Lol

There is no elget way to download it anymore, Just use a torrent or go buy it off ebay. I think you can get it for like 7 bucks or so.
