Hello!
I recently posted how my truck did not have any acceleration. I tried the zip ties on the throttle cable- no luck. I changed out the TPS. I noticed I have much better acceleration and now if I floor it (getting into traffic) the tires actually broke loose on dry asphalt.
The issue I’m now noticing- when I start the truck, there is a VERY high ldle and after about 20 second or so- the idle comes back down. Not getting any error codes with the OBD II scanner, but it’s showing my load_pct is sitting at around 56% when idle. Previously it was ~20%.
Is this normal or should I install the old TPS? I like the acceleration but terrified I’m gonna blow something up or break something.
