Hey it is guys,
I just rebuilt my 4.0 from the heads up. Finally got it running and took it for a test drive, when i went to back up in some gravel my wheels spun and shortly after my tranny made a huge clunk. I rolled foward and tried to back up again and i had no reverse. I'd say about once every ten times the reverse gear will ingage at idle speed only and if you try adn give it gas it acts like its in neutral and has no power. I guess i just wanna see what you guys think the problem might be, broken bands in the tranny or maybe the level switch on the tranny?

Internal parts carnage from the sounds of it.

Does it engage forward at all?

It made a loud clunk? Something internal blew out, especially with the reverse not activating.

You need a rebuild, sorry.
