ok so my truck has 4x4 with the switch in the dash... so (automatic hubs i guess)... Before you say throw it out and get the manual hubs im not doing it i just want to fix what i have...

I put the truck in 4x4 high, hear a tik under my seat.... but no 4x4. I try to spin the tires on the gravel road that i live on and the back wheels spin no front. I also have put it on 4x4 high while doing 60 km per hour and i feel a small jerk but still nothing different. the light in the dash comes on for high every time...

The 4x4 low does nothing. no tik, no jerk, no light... Its not doing anything.

I almost feel like i have more than 1 problem here:icon_rofl:

thanks Dylan

Ok guys... I found that my pulse activated hubs have gone bad or theirs a leak or something.... I have taken the little clip inside them out and know the hubs are permanetly locked and i have 4x4 high but still no low.... If it helps i also have a problem with my over drive not working (or no indication that it is working). And my transmission takes a while before it will ever go into drive gears but goes into reverse normally.

Thanks Dylan

mmmmm sounds like you have a a bad T-case motor to shift....and prolly a messed up tranny. not sure what to tell you about it though

You do realize that you must be stopped, in neutral, not park, with your foot on the brake to go into or out of 4 low right? If you have a manual trans you have to have the clutch and brake pedal applied.

hey thanks hondaxr650... woulda never known that... I new that the vehicle had to be stopped but never knew about the neutral part.. As soon as i read this i went and tried it and it goes into low great... i can tell its low because it pulls the vehicle even hard than 2wd or 4x4 high.. I gotta push the breaks harder to keep the vehicle stopped.

Thanks Dylan
