it is a code... what for i don't know... could be a bad shift motor or a sensor in there or any number of other problems... i would scan it befor throwing money at it

i don't think bad hubs throw a code... or else everyone with avm's would have a blinking 4x4 lights... i now(because i run them) that avm's don't throw codes

when my vacc hubs went bad my truck would code when i tryed to go into 4x4 .......
the code said that the 4x4 was not functioning right.........i found a mod on the other forum (every similer to the alwas locked hub) turned out to be a free fix and took about 10 mins to do
