Does anyone have the procedure to trouble shoot the cruise control on a 1998 Ford Ranger. Problem started when the steering wheel clock fried. Replaced that, but the cruise still does not work, replaced the ribbon cable to the controls in the steering wheel, with new buttons and it still doesn't work, Have checked all available fuses and all still good. Even the Ford Recall fuses for the cruise are still good. So not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Get the updated cruise cut off for the brake cylinder. The old one can cause the clock to fry if it fails in a specific way (as a ford tech told me), then not allow the cruise to work at all.

I may be wrong, since I replaced mine with an updated switch instead of (essentially) the crap ford "fix" of an inline fuse.
