1997 Ranger 4x4 front differential

Been looking around a lot and cant find much on a limited slip for a 1997 Ranger 4x4 front. I cut a lot of wood up in the woods and cover lots of rocky terrain. Ive been using my two 1997 2wd (open diff) XLTs with a load of dirt in the back for the ride up and a load of wood for the ride down.

I want a 4x4 but after using my cousins and being stuck many times with the one wheel wonder syndrom it sucked. My brother has a 1997 2wd XLT like mine but with a limited slip and we can climb through the trails with just the saws and tools in the back for weight.

If you are looking for a front limmited slip diff for a 97. It will have to be an aftermarket item that I have installed. I don't think any came from the factory with a posi front. The cheapest limmited slip for a D35 would be a trac-loc (same as what came factory in the rear). These can be used from the rear of a jeep cherokee d35.

I found enough info to point me in the direction that the 1997 Ranger has a D35 front, but I also found info that the D35 was changed after 1997 but maintained the same D35 name. Im pretty much looking for a part number of one someone has installed in their 1997 truck. I dont want to buy the limited slip to find its the later style and wont work.

Also what year jeeps can it be pulled from? 4wd is new to me, and I only know Ford parts, anything else is new to me as far as part name, years used, and vehicles used in.
