Trying to decide which lift kit I want for my truck I would like a 3 inch lift I found one made by James duff. However there's a 4 inch by skyjacker for same price. I know skyjacker a well known brand haven't heard James duff lift kits before. Anyone on here have any experience with them. I like how James duff 3 inch lift kit has dual shocks and new coil buckets. How use rear blocks. Anyone have any pictures or experience of skyjacker 4 inch lift or James duff 3 inch lift?

Those are the 2 best to choose from. I used the Skyjacker 6" kit, which shares a lot of the same parts as their 4" kit. I liked that I could get new leaf springs with the Skyjacker and didn't need to use big blocks in the rear.

My leaf springs are new so no biggie about blocks if I decide to go 3. I like how both come with long radius arms

The long arms for the front are a must in my opinion.

Either kit is good.

Rear blocks contribute to axle wrap and broken parts if you actually use it. A Chevy drop shackle and the factory blocks would be a better step, think the last I bought a set of the shackles they were about $60. I did the shackles and put together my own leaf packs for my Choptop

I can't speak to the kits much, but it seems like most of them just kinda forget the rear. According to my math, 80-96 F150 2wd springs (43-883) with Chevy drop shackles (Belltech 6400 or equivalent) should yield 4" without the factory blocks. I hope that works out. It's the route I plan to go.

I do notice from the pictures that Duff kit doesn't use a transmission crossmember. Might wanna think about that at least.

Skyjacker sell a kit with springs for a extra 500 if I go that route might just get new springs

Never noticed that James duff didn't come with a trans cross member I might just go ahead and go skyjacker then go be on safe side

They are a different design. I'm guessing the Duff kit uses the stock transmission crossmember and shorter extended arms.
