1996 4L 2WD Ford Ranger Rear Axle Break line Splitter Leak

I order and replaced the two rear axle break lines on the ranger. When depressing the break peddle, the only leak is at the driver side splitter block. The male fitting on the break line is not mating successfully with the female socket. The splitter block seat may be an issue. I'm uploading images for guidance.
