ok so ill hopefully be buying a 1996 explorer that was rolled onto its side. is there anything i should be cautious or worried ab out when swaping it into my 84 ranger. ill also be takin the rear end out of the explorer and putting it in the ranger but the tranny will be up for sale if anyone is interested.

You need the ENTIRE emissions system. The engine wiring harness, PCM, Y-pipe, cats, everything.

I'd suggest that a 1994 will be a bit less work.

well the exploder has it all in there and finding something with not alot of miles that i could use the motor out of is pretty hard to come across. this only has 70k on it. now i have a manual and the exploder is a auto. can i just leave the TCM off or do i need a to do something else. if it will only throw a check engine light and do nothin else then thats fine, ill jsut pull teh bulb out the back lol, not really, ill figure it out. emissions is no biggy, ill see what i can get away with on takin off since i live in flag the truck does not have to go through emissions
