Well, I'm back in the market for a new(er) Ranger. I was searching autotrader and found a 1995 for $2350. It has the 3L and 5 speed 2WD, its the extended cab and judging from the pictures it seems to be in pretty good shape. The only down side is that it has 200 000km on it, its a little hight, but it is livable. I'm going to go look at it tomorrow, if it hasn't sold already. What are some problem areas with this engine, and what are problem areas of the truck? What should I look for from your personal experiance, and what should I run from?

i bought my 95 2.3L reg cab 5 sp 4x2 for $2400. with 118000 miles. no major problems, just had to replace the rear suspension hangers (buffalo winters ate em up). replaced alternator, starter, nuthin big

thats exactly what i got my 96 2wd 5spd 2.3L for. it had 121K and needed a new alloy wheel. but that was two years ago.

that sounds a little steep. i just sold my 96 2wd extended cab 2.3L 5 speed for 2000. it was in good condition and had 148000 miles on it or about 235000 kilometers.

Everyone wants a truck in Calgary. My old 89' before restoration and distruction, would have sold for near $4000. Thats with rust, and 200 000km with the 2.9L and 5 speed with manual everything and am/fm radio. And I completly forgot about the section in the tech library, thanks for reminding me.
