Would there be any reason while making my custom exhaust I couldn't use a tailpipe "designed" for a newer year? I know a lot of different companies have obscure "years of fitment" and we all know that the rangers platform has remained very consistent. I don't see how a tailpipe wouldn't fit a 1994 but would fit a 1997. Unless the hanger locations are different? I'm just trying to get a pipe that will exit stock location that I won't have to try to make a bunch of bends in to get over the axle..etc. Make life a little easier. Am I missing something? or should I be in the clear?

This is what I'm looking at

It's only a 49 in section of pipe. I'm sure it would work but after you wrap up the money in more pipe and brackets (unless you weld it) I think you would be better off to got to American Muffler and tell them you want the cheapest single exhaust you can get and it will still have a warranty.

I personally would end up with rowdy duals... Our American Muffler guy is good like that but he does fantastic work at a good price.

Yeah, I would weld it. It's kinda a custom deal, I have a unique motor installed and I don't think that a normal "shop" is going to play nice with it. I Have a down pipe from the turbo and piping to the bell housing, I just need to start bringing it back. I thought that having a pre-bent section over the rear tires would make my life easier when I get to that point.
