94 ranger XT 2.3L with the 8 spark plugs. On the exhuast side plugs 1 and 4 are not firing. Swapped coil packs no change. Replaced coil pack just to make sure and replaced plugs a wires, no change. IAC as replaced bout 5 months ago seemed to help a little a the time but it's back to acting like crap again.

Also very hard to start, sometimes doesn't start at all and floods out. Runs rich but when running timing isn't that far off. Got it apart fixng other should be maintenance things and other problems atm and checking wiring but still have no idea bout the 2 plugs not firing. Any help would be awesome

Edit: oh when it starts it idles up really high and does the same after letting off clutch coasting (manual trans) no matter how long it's been running.

The ICM is held in by screws. The screws are also grounds. I would clean up those screws. Some people even run a seperate ground wire to the ICM. If that does not work maybe it's the ICM.
