These are the "cups" that the "ball" on the wiper blade fits into

There are assortment bushings that can be ordered, Dorman
Just wondering if anyone has tried those and if any fit

I have used the Dorman wiper linkage arm bushings, I think it was on my 86 Ranger, but it was so long ago I can't remember any details. I do remember having to know exactly what I needed, and then looking through and shaking the package in the store to make sure they included the right ones, they sell you a assortment.

Not sure if it helps but the Dorman kit had what I needed to fix my '97 F350 wiper linkage, conveniently on that the passenger link kept falling off and the drivers side worked but it was still annoying...

My drivers side is the one that "pops" out, once a year or so
I have been wrapping the "ball" with aluminum foil layers but it wears out

Couldn't find any that matched when it happened the first time
One of those things that doesn't happen enough to "have to fix now", but just happened again so thought I would ask
I will get that Dorman assortment I think, see if I can make one work

Don't know if it matters but THIS is the kit I got, was $7 and change when I got it, now down to $4 US... Amazon says it doesn't fit my '97 Ranger but they've been wrong before...

Good stuff
That's the one I looked for, and found, but have to drive downtown to get it, $9 Canadian, the gas will cost more, lol, not really

Just the follow up

Dorman 49447 kit had a wiper bushing that fit, kind of: https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-17896-49447.aspx

The 3 bushings with the 4 "legs" on the back fit the ball on the wiper blade
Had to remove 2 opposite legs and line up the other 2 with the slots in the wiper motor arm
Was hard to get it into the hole on the arm, put a socket behind it and "tapped" it into place :)
The ball was hard to get into the bushing after that, but it DID go in, not binding once it was in

Working wiper on drivers side now
We will see how long it lasts

How's that looking? Still holding up? This exact thing has been happening with my 93 and figuring the part out has been a bear.

Still going strong, and its been used a lot in the rainy and snowy Northwest

Great! I'mma go ahead and pull the trigger and pick that kit up then. Thanks!

Just remember the slight modifications Ron had to do to make it fit. That's seems the norm now, nothing seems to fit exactly right. But at least they give you something you can work with.
