1994 Ranger to 2001 Ranger questions-----

I have a 1994 Ranger 4wd/ auto/ 4.0 V6/ all power/ and am looking at a 2001 Ranger with the same 4wd/ auto/ 4.0 V6/ all power/.

Only difference is that my 94 has high mileage and the 01 does not.

Are there noticeable differences other than the body??? I like the newer body style.

Like transmission and engine??

Would it be worth the switch to???

Any opinions appreciated!!!

The 2001 is going to have a sohc 4.0. You'll get more power, but the early ones had timing chain guide issues. It would also have a more durable 5r55e automatic transmission, which helps with fuel economy
