I need to get a replacement Driveshaft today and looked around here but could not find what yrs will fit. I don't want to go to the single driveshaft at this time and was wondering is it only the 93-97s that fit or do the earlier yrs fit as well?. Again extended cab so is the 2pc with the centerbearing

whats wrong with your drive shaft?

if it isn't bent just replace u joints and carrier bearing and clean and grease slip yolk?

they dont all fit, for various reasons from the earlier years. u joint size and flange issues are one setback but the intermediate shafts can have variances as well. you literally have to directly compare what you have.

like mentioned, is there damage done to your shaft that made it fubar, or do you just need to freshen it up?

well. Time constraints and weather are making it tough to repair the one I have, as the center bearing is major toast and so the trucks not drivable to where I have access to a indoor shop. So as I can pick up a used but useable shaft for 50 bucks to swap in while I repair mine and then swap them back out and repair the one I picked up or if its sound just keep it as a spare for when crap like this happens. So I guess I need to stick to 93-97 then I guess.

I feel your pain. The Rat is on jack stands in a snow drift. Bite the bullet and take the shaft out. Then you can drive it in 4 wheel high.

If you find a 4x4 '98+ extended cab it should be a one piece aluminum shaft I think... and should fit from what I remember. '90 is the cutoff for having the bigger flange that they made standard after that, so that "might" open up some options.
