1994 Ford Ranger compatibility

Hi, Have a 1994 Ford Ranger that needs a driver's side manual door latch. I've been told that latches on several different model years will work, but what is the range of years? Will Mazda's work as well?

Any latch from the same generation Ranger/Mazda should work, can't remember the year range of the generations though...94 may be a gen 3.

LMC doesn't have them, but Gen 3 rangers are 93 - 97, getting truck ready to sale.
