1994 Ford Ranger/87? Lincoln 302

I have a 1994 Ranger 2.3L manual trans. I am going to put a lincoln 302 carburated with brain box ignition. I could use any info on what will make this the easiest and fastest way. Can I use my 5 speed trans? Do I need to change the exaust manifolds? What mounts should i get?
Any info on this will be greatly apperciated.

yes. many headers avalable. I have the hookers in my 94.

What mounts should i get?

fox body convertable. I made my own tho. too much work, just buy some.

with brain box ignition.

Brain box igntion....Duraspark II.

The brain box is the little box that sits on the firewall with the wires runing from it to the dist.

it would turn into a shrapnel bomb in about 5 minutes. This info is in the stickies I think. Not to be a jerk but we do have a search function that will provide you all the info you'll need for your swap.

I wouldn't use an oem Ford ignition, there's too many parts to go wrong and too expensive to buy. I would use a Petronix points conversion in an early 302/289 distributor, then the only thing that could go bad is the vacuum advance.

Not unless you want to do the job over and over and........
Get a trans from a 4.0 and you will most likely have no problems, with sane operation, of course

i used a c-4 trans.since your 2 wheel drive you have alot of choices.
