I pulled the headliner and there is no plastic between it and the roof.

I just dropped the fuel tank on a 94 Explorer (same set up as 94 Ranger), it was super simple. With a night or 2 of penetration oil at work, all the large fasteners came out with little or no fight against the impact driver. I used a transmission jack to support and lower the plastic tank.

Of all the fuel tanks I've ever dropped, this was by far the simplest. If you are set on removing the bed for access, I highly recommend making an access door for future fuel tank system work.

I can see dropping it on an explorer but for a truck wouldn't it be easier to just remove the 6 bolts in bed and 3 at fuel filling neck, then just raise and move bed a little to access the tank? I saw someone on YouTube do it that way. I prefer easiest way since I am a one man wrecking machine. Lol

Do you think a person can remove the bed by themselves or will it take two people?

Easier with two, but for sure doable with one, as far as just sliding it back a few feet

Anyone know if the 93-97 ranger extended cab headline would fit a 94 Mazda b4000 extended cab truck. I know they are pretty much the same truck but want to make sure.

You will be surprised at the weight of the bed, or the lack of weight of the bed, lol
Tailgate is probably 20% of the weight, and you can take that off first, no bolts just take off the straps, and one hinge is slotted, line up the slot and lift out the tail gate

You can also remove front 4 bolts then loosen the 2 rear bolts in the bed, leave them almost all the way unscrewed
Then you can then tilt the front of the bed up and use 2x4 or other post to hold it up
But this depends on what rear bumper setup you have, and its for two people

Sliding the bed back is for one person, or two, just go from side to side lifting and sliding, so wiggle the bed back

I will take the tailgate off now that you said that. I wouldn't have never thought about that.

So I might have made a mistake and need opinions.

I just went up and grabbed a new back window from a junkyard (2.5 hours away, closest one) and got home to realize that the window doesn't have the bolt holes that the current back window has.

It came out of a 94 ranger. I haven't took the window out of the mazda truck yet, do the bolts come off the other window?

What should I do?
