1994 3.0 trans and ignition questions

is there any way to change the shift points on my 94 automatic, it shifts at 4,700 i would like to bring that up to right before the rev limiter somewhere around 5,300, i took the tranny out to replace the front seal a while ago and i remember that it is not an electric tranny the only electric wires it had were for the neutral saftey switch and the speed senser had a pair of wires plugged right above the speedo cable, sorry i don't have a model number, but maybe someone will know what it is, my other question is i was thinking of getting a MSD6A ignition box for my truck, the 94 still had the cap and rotor, i was wondering if anyone else had done this mod and could give some insight on it... thanks

you can put in a trans go or B&M shift kit stage 2 on either and you can hold a shift as long as you want, and yes you can put a msd on it it comes with the directions for it but for a cleaner intall will need the tfi connector for it.

In drive it will shift when it wants to, other wise you can manually shift it. I have a transgo shift kit in my 91 a4ld and it still has the same shift points, it just shifts firmer.

depends on which shift kit you get, usually with B&M there stage 2 or whatnot lets you hold a shift till you move the lever.

If your trans has a vaccum modulator, IT might be adjustable. Here's a link, but it's about a C6. You'd have to see if yours has a screw, it's usually inside the vaccum port, as in remove the hose and put a slender screwdriver into the nipple you just took the hose off of. I had to adjust one on 64 Fairlane, circa 1976. It was a 2 speed behind a 260 V8. Those were the days....blackwalls on chrome reverse rims and baby moons.
