1993 Splash build

Alright, my f250 I have from 79 is the pin type like the rangers, and in some of your first posts you have a picture of the f250 pin type mounts with the rough country shocks.

EB shock mounts use "stud" style shock ends. Stud style shocks are usually a buck or two cheaper than their eyelet style counterpart.

They ARE cheaper but I'd rather spend the (MAYBE $10/each) extra $40 for the eyelet style's reliability.

I prefer the stud style up front. Easy to make mounts for, and have a little more cushion in the bushings to squish of you don't have bump stops dead on. ( like me.lol)

brink, i'm going to go ahead and request that you move your pics to a different pic sharing site, my work interwebz is blocking them and i cant see them.

looking good buddy, what are your first impressions? one thing I notice from the fuzzy picture, your front wheels look a little pushed back into the fender well? Need better pics brah!

Horrible HORRIBLE pics. It was raining last night.

Alignment is far from spot on. I need to get different degree camber bushings installed tonight and reset the toe. I needed to get it out of the garage to clean up and settle the suspension. It feels like a new truck (in the 50 feet I drove it) lol.

Nate, the wheels are in the exact position they were in from the factory. If anything, I pushed the axle forward approx. 1/4".

I'll try getting some better photos tonight or tomorrow.

i agree photobucket is frowned upon at work.. haha

I dont like the stud type, Mine eats bushings like its job...

Thats why I run 5/8 rod shocks, they use 1/2" nut on the stud vs the stock 3/8, and the bushings are huge in comparison.

hmm... are these off larger trucks? I did a quick google search on it saw nothing special..

Im not sure what applications they fit. I buy shocks by dimensions, not application.lol

I used Tuff County 61302 on the front and 61301 on the rear.

They are the same shock, but the fronts are stud style uppers, and the rears are eyelet.

Summit sells them for like $50 each plus shipping.

I have some shorter Rancho shocks in the classifieds too.

I used BDS shocks same shock front and rear. 5/8" Piston, Eye top/bottom. 35.5" extended length, 20.4" collapsed length.

Application's for a 2001-? F250 with a 8" lift.

Im having ANOTHER major problem. :annoyed:

My suspension literally travels up and down as the vehicle rolls forward. It travels enough to put the steering in a bind (as in the links TOUCH each other.) At ride height, the steering links are 1.5" apart.

Does ANYBODY have a suggestion as what I should try to rectify this situation? I REALLY want to get this thing back on the road.

TTBs (especially flexy ones) are very sensitive to toe. Toe it out a good bit and work from there.
