1993 Splash build

There ya go! I planned on getting a tee fitting and running a short hard line down to the brake hose on the frame.

Small update. Radius arms are plated and tube adapters welded in place. I will get pics posted when I get new batteries for the camera, so no "pics or this thread's worthless" icons!! :icon_twisted:

What happened to the ballistic joint?

POS thing anyways. I needed to thread the joint into the tube adapter w/ a ****ing pipe wrench.

Not to bust your bubble, but if it was that hard to turn in, it sounds like you warped the tube adapter. It should thread in easily by hand. Id bet if you try to take it out you strip the threads....and you need a new one. This is why I ran heims....hope you get it figured it bud.

I have a 1.25" tap, just in case.lol

I threaded the joints into the adapters BEFORE welding. :dunno: I dont know WHY it was so damn difficult to thread them on ( it was easier w/ the pipe wrench ) but now that I've threaded them on there once, I can now turn them by hand. It was almost as if I had to cut the threads or something. Threads look perfectly fine though. Thanks for the heads up.

The threads may have just been kinda goobered from the get go. I see it a lot on reman calipers. The line bolt goes in hard the first time and is fine after that.

looks good dude, i didnt know you had a build thread on here.....scribed!

Yeah, but those werent shitty old reman calipers, they were NEW machined parts from a fabrication company....and as expensive as they are, should thread like butter. FWIW my ruffstuff heims threaded in with one finger before AND after welding my tube adapters.

Unfortunately, Ballistic is the ONLY place that has 1.25" square tube adapters. :annoyed:
