1993 Ranger 6 cyl. 3.0 transmission issues

Hello everyone, I am just a loyal Ranger owner that is looking for information on how to determine the exact transmission type for a possible purchase of rebuilt tranny from a reputable place, there are so many places in the web and they offer so many things......please advise, your help will be greatly appreciated.....
