1993 Ranger 4 liter stutters on start up.

I have a 1993 Ford Ranger V6 4 liter automatic. Sometimes when I start it, it stutters and shakes like it is going to die. It continues to do this even after I put it in drive or reverse. After I give it gas and get going the problem stops. It does not do this every time I start it. Any ideas? Its driving me nuts. Ive cleaned the idle control and the throttle intake.

Lacking real diagnostic information
The normal thing to suggest is systematic component replacement

Replace: Wires, plugs, coil pack.

in that order until the problem goes away.

It soulds like a spark problem an that's typically either wires or plugs.
