i have a 1993 ford ranger supercab xlt 4x4 4.0L I want to put a aussie locker in it but it says i need a open rear end. i was wondering if some one could tell me if i have a limited slip or open differential

Not without a slight bit more information..

Like the number off your differential tag or the doorjamb.

the number off the differential is basically all rust but there are numbers on the door jam

Post up the door jamb numbers... Or better yet, check out the tech library and there is a page about decoding axle ratios by the door tags.

It will have a two digit code on the door jamb tag at the bottom of the tag right under where it says "axle." If that code has a letter in it, you have a L/S carrier. If it is just two numbers, then it is an open carrier.

the number is 91 so it should be open

the dana up dront should be open too
