Searched threads and found nothing :(

I've got a problem with the switch I think. I have power to a few of the wires, but the switch doesn't light up or anything. No 4wd on the truck either. Anybody have a diagram so I can check the switch? Or any other ideas?

Update: 92 4x4 switch

Alrighty, since yesterday, I've been able to find a wiring diagram and all the diagrams of the pinouts on the connectors.

Checked everything with a meter. Have ground where I'm supposed to have ground. Have continuity where I'm supposed to have it. Have voltage where it's supposed to be, except...

I get battery voltage out of the control module only if the pigtail connector is disconnected. Once it's connected, there's nothing... I don't have it hooked up to the shift motor during tests. The harness has 2 grounds, 2 power sources, and 3 wires going to the motor. All working. No opens. Self test shows good. Switch tests good.

I'm not getting power to the shift motor...any ideas?

Switch tests good in all aspects. Lights work, switch "switches", resistance is within spec.

Any other ideas?

Well given that when you plug in a certain connector based on your post above, you lose power.]

Then the problem is between that connector and it's source. Most likely an overheated, melted insulation, grounded out wire. A short.

That's what seems to be referred to as the pigtail connector.

Could the motor being in the wrong spot do this? I'm at a loss, and taking it to the Ford house isn't an option.
