So recently I had a problem with my truck not starting it had no spark or fuel after lots of research I found out it was the ecu, I replaced the ecu and it started no problem. Recently i took my ranger off roading and ripped out my 4x4 wires and was stuck in 4 low, i put a new transfercase motor in and it fixed my problem I then went away for a week and came back and my truck wouldn't start. It had spark but no fuel, i took the bed off and the fuel sending unit was unplugged, plugged it in and it started right up. I then installed a new distributor and the truck still started and when i went to time it, i removed the shorting bar and the truck began to idle then it died and wouldn't start with that in or out. It is still getting spark but now no fuel. Ive gotten it to start once but it died almost instantly.

So it will start if you add fuel manually, the 50/50 test

You have an OBD1 system so you can manually turn on the fuel pump full time with a short jumper wire
Look here: https://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/OBD_I.shtml
2nd drawing is the OBD1 connector that will be in engine bay

Fuel Pump slot is labelled in drawing, if you GROUND that slot and turn on the key you should hear the fuel pump running in the gas tank, its not quiet
So battery negative to that slot with jumper wire
Turn on the key
If you hear the pump running try to start engine
If you don't hear the pump running then check the fuel pump relay and 30amp fuse in engine fuse box

Thank you for your response I tested the fuel pump pand eec relay and the eec relay was bad. Put a new relay in and it starts no problem now.

Good stuff (y)

Thanks for the update
