Hey I have a 1992 Ford Ranger XLT and it has been sitting for a while 73k original miles and I’ve finally got it back up and running. I’ve been looking to put a camper shell on it, but I’ve had no luck finding one that will fit a 1992. Is there a major difference in bed size between the 1992 and the newer models?
All help is appreciated!

I helped a guy take one off a 93-97 so I could put it on my '85.

Just keep an eye on bed length, that will matter. A stepside is different too of course.

The inner bed is the same so the bed rails are in the same spot, worst case is the cab height might be a little different (shouldn't be much) or width which should be pretty close...

Okay awesome yeah I could care less about the cab height difference, I’m going to be using it as a work truck! Thank you!

I have seen @85_Ranger4x4 s truck with the cap in person at a few of our trail rides. other than not being color matched, it looks fine. there might be a little bit of cap sticking out on the sides, but it is only noticeable close up

The bottom of the topper is flat, it would sit the same on anything.

Yup, pretty sure it’s just bed length and fleet side/step side you have to watch for. I never got to swapping my cap over from my 00 to my 92 before it got wrecked, but I had swapped the tonneau cover over. Fit perfect pretty much

you could also find one off an 83-92 truck and if you have a short bed I've got one for sale off my 91
