1992 2.3l one coil pack doesnt fire. HELP!?

hey, new here. Need some help with my 1992 ranger with a 2.3l engine. I have replaced the coil packs, ICM, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, spark plugs and wires, and the fuel filter. I still cannot get the truck to run right. One of the coil packs is not firing. PLEASE HELP.

If you are talking about the drivers side coil pack, it only fires after the engine is running, you get no spark out of it while cranking.

Have you checked for trouble codes? There's probably something simple going wrong, if there are a fair number of miles on it, get some mass airflow sensor cleaner and clean the MAF, that's been known to help

alright. thanks. it has about 70k miles on it. may try that. and the coil pack has no spark with the truck running.

just replaced the Ignition Control Module and it still has the same problem. did not change anything

tried cleanin the MAF and still nothin. I am goin to try and find a tester soon. there is only two people in town that own one.

a tester for what? for trouble codes you can pull them yourself with a piece of metal between two wires and watching the check engine light blink... go HERE for instructions, follow the analog volt meter method but forget the meter just jump the two wires then go sit in the drivers seat, turn the key on and write down the flashes of the check engine light and look up the codes.
