Hey I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get the hardware for a 1991 V6 4.0 exhaust manifold. I can find plenty of places online where they sell the two bolts connecting the manifold to the exhaust pipe but I cannot find anywhere that sells the 6 bolts that hold the manifold to the cylinder head. I stripped the shit out of them taking them out. I tried auto parts stores I tried a ford dealership and I looked online and I can't find them. The dealership told me they don't make the bolts anymore. I'd appreciate any help.

take one of the old fasteners to a hardware store and match up length thread and make sure they are grade 8.

Ace is the place. :D

Grade 5 will work great, too. You'er not building a tank.

And don't get stainless. Stainless galls with the heat and will bring the threads of the head out if they are ever removed.

i want mine to be a tank :D:D:D and yes grade 5 will work fine but i have found grade 8 takes the heat just a little better IMO.....

As the factory threads are METRIC the issue of "Grade 5" vs. "grade 8" is not relevant

The threads are 8mmX1.25.

and frankly some of the lengths required are not commonly available.

Using slightly longer bolts in those locations is not an option because the longer bolts
will simply bottom in the blind holes in the heads...

That is why on my own engines I drill out the holes and rethread for US standard heli-coils
in 5/16-18NC for which bolts are available in small increments...
