My buddy has a 91 ranger 3.0 rwd extended cab that he purchased a 2" lift (2" blocks for rear leaf & 2" blocks for front coils) and regarding tires and wheels what would be the best option. 15" or 16" and what size would be the largest to run without causing travel issues or rubbing when lock to lock on the steering wheel. Any recommendations on tire sizes? Thanks in advance for any helpful information

Good page to book mark here: https://www.therangerstation.com/tech/

In the Brakes, Steering and Tires section: https://www.therangerstation.com/how-to_pages/ford_ranger_tire_fitment.shtml
Looks like 30" with some front fender trimming on a 1991 Ranger with 2" lift

Wheel size depends on the look you want, and also the handling
The bigger side wall has more flex for bumps/off-road but also more flex when cornering
15" wheel will have more sidewall than 16" wheel with 30" tires
19" wheel with 30" tire much less sidewall

Thank you @RonD I was curious about this too.

That's roughly stock 4x4 height and I agree, 30-31" tire would be about max, 31's would likely rub here and there

I like more sidewall myself so I always stick with small wheels, I have 35" tires on my '90 and 15" wheels and it drives just fine even aggressively...
