1991 ford ranger 4.0 high idle

Could it be the intake manifold gaskets? And how hard are they to replace?

literally any place that is leaking un metered air in can cause a high idle so yes. gotta find the leak(s).
no idea how hard to replace never done it.

Ok I just did not know if it was a sensor or not. I just think that it is weird that the truck will idle right after it is warmed up, but if up rev the engine it goes so high

Hi 91 blue ranger, I also have a blue 91 4.0 and am experiencing the same issue! Were you able to resolve it?
